ekō Homes are built with an up-cycled shipping container consisting of corrosive resistant high-strength, low-alloy, corten steel coated with a marine grade enamel. Upon arrival into the manufacturing facility, The container is touched up with wire brush and sanded removing any impurities before being cleaned. Once cleaned a primer coating is added to the container prior to an added coat of exterior grade paint.
